I drive a 2017 Subaru WRX – it’s a beast of a car, but I’m looking for ways to make it stand out a bit more. I’ve been thinking about doing a vinyl wrap for the hood, roof, and maybe the side mirrors. I don’t want to go too crazy with the design but I would like to give it a sleek, modern look. I’m thinking about a matte black or possibly even a carbon fiber finish for the hood and roof, with some smaller accents in silver or gunmetal gray for the mirrors or door handles.
I’m not looking for anything that’s going to fade or peel easily. I’ve heard that 3M vinyl is one of the best, but I’m open to suggestions from those of you who’ve tried different brands. I’m not a professional by any means, but I’m also not afraid of a DIY project. However, I’d prefer something that isn’t too complicated to apply if I decide to do it myself. I know it’s not going to be as easy as slapping on a sticker, but I’m looking for a good balance between ease and quality. I’m a little worried about whether I can actually pull this off on my own. I’ve watched a few YouTube videos about vinyl wrapping, and it seems like there’s a lot of stretching and heating involved. I don’t want to end up with creases or bubbles all over my car, but I don’t really want to pay a shop to do it for me if I can get good quality vinyl and do it myself. I’d love to hear any tips or stories from people who’ve wrapped their cars (or parts of their cars) with vinyl. Was it worth it? How long did it take you? Any recommendations for tools or other resources to make the process smoother?

I’ve been scouring the web and came across a site called https://www.vinylcutter.eu/ . They seem to have a pretty wide variety of vinyl, but I’m hesitant to just dive in without hearing some feedback. If anyone has used them or knows anything about their products, I’d appreciate it!
